We have seen Samsung A9 phone with 4 rear cameras and LG V40 and Huawei p20 pro with 3 rear cameras. What about 16 rear cameras then? which will be able to capture through multiple perspectives in a single click. Korean company LetsGoDigital working on a smartphone with that much camera. Arranges in a matrix, LG 16 cameras phone’s patent is filed by LG. By this and you will be able to capture 3D shots and making a change in that by saying, moving one’s head or completely removing it.
LG said that you’ll be able to create a single shot from multiple angles. In an example of a teddy bear, LG showed that you can rotate the head of the subject to an angle which makes that shot look best.
This matrix of cameras will also be used to take selfies by equipping it with a mirror. Same as we see on older compact cameras and flip phones. It’s not clear when LG 16 cameras phone will be released. But they have given an indication that this kind of technology will be released by them.
LG showed another example, where they have stated that after clicking a shot you’ll be able to draw around the subject’s head. Then the Artificial Intelligence feature will be utilized to search for other photos. Eventually, this will replace the head in a current photo with the searched photo’s head.
A few years back, mobile phone companies were in racing to bring a camera with more and more megapixels. Now the trend has changed and they are bringing more and more cameras. As Samsung and Huawei have already launched phones with 3 and 4 rear cameras. Nokia soon going to launch a smartphone with 5 rear cameras. Apple is likely to launch 2019 iPhones with 3 rear cameras. if this race continues, soon we might witness a phone’s back full of cameras.
