Back in March, with a monthly subscription fee of $9.99, Apple rolled out Apple News Plus. At the start of this month, for a monthly fee of $4.99, Apple introduced Apple TV+ with Hollywood celebrities’ shows such as Jason Momoa and Jennifer Aniston.
Presently, the tech giant is going to offer a single subscription package for its Apple News Plus, Apple Music, and Apple TV Plus as an attempt to have more subscribers.
According to Bloomberg, very soon in 2020, the tech giant could launch the package subscription service. Apple Arcade and Apple’s gaming service would not be included in that new package subscription service which is going to introduced in 2020. Apple Arcade and Apple’s gaming service was rolled out back in September 2019 for $4.99 in the US.
Previously, for those three services users are paying a total of $25 in the US. The total cost for those three services will decrease from $25 to $20. And the inconvenience of subscribing to those three services will turn down as well with this integration of three services.
Moreover, this will prove helpful for the Cupertino, California based company to accumulate further subscribers. This integration of services by Apple looks like Amazon’s Prime subscription service which integrates Prime Reading, Prime Video, express delivery, and Prime Music.
Additionally, the tech giant has not given any official statement regarding this integration of three services still. Together with the associated directors have continued that Apple might change its strategies given the compound nature of agreements with publishers and record labels, that state.
For now, according to a report back in October, the tech giant was thinking to integrate its TV subscription and Apple Music in one bundle. All along, Financial Times’s report recommended that even as Apple was desiring to establish a contract with the record labels, the music industry carried on cautious of the new contract. That deal could probably cause a reduction in their income share.
As described above, Apple has not made an official statement for the confirmation still. So, we have to wait for the formal announcement about its plans by Apple.
