Apple fixed battery drain and security issue with iOS 15.4.1, iPadOS 15.4.1

The California-based Cupertino giant has released the latest iOS 15.4.1 and iPadOS 15.4.1 updates for iPhone and iPad users. The recent update reportedly solves a battery drain issue that users were reporting experiencing after updating to iOS 15.4.

The tech giant additionally acknowledged the issue in the update log. The update log notes that the battery drain problem has now been solved with Apple’s recent iOS 15.4.1 update.

Apart from the fix for the battery drain issue, the recent iOS 15.4.1 update further comprises a solution for braille devices that become unresponsive at the time of navigating text or displaying. The iPhone manufacturer further solved a problem where made for iPhone hearing devices dropped the connection in specific third-party applications.

However, it is essential to mention here that Apple’s this recent iOS 15.4.1 update is crucial for those of you facing security issues as it is solving a vulnerability that, according to the company, possibly has been vigorously exploited in the wild, meaning hackers, utilized this against several devices.

As per the Cupertino giant, security vulnerability number CVE-2022-22675 affects iPad Pro (all models), iPad Air 2 and later, iPad 5th generation and later, iPad mini 4 and later, and iPod touch (7th generation), and iPhone 6s and later.

Moreover, with this vulnerability, any application can execute arbitrary code with kernel privileges. And it can cause a security issue. However, an anonymous researcher has found this problem. The code has the ability to execute any CPU task, which provides any attacker plentiful ammunition.

In addition to this, the California-based Cupertino giant has rolled out macOS Monterey 12.3.1 with a security fix for the same issue on Macs on the M1 lineup and Intel processors.

If you are one of them who have overlooked it, the previous iOS 15.4 of Apple allows users to unlock Face ID while wearing a mask on iPhone 12 and newer. Moreover, the update comes with several latest emojis, along with a recent voice option for Siri.
