The California-based tech giant is working on a roadmap that connects images from multiple iPhone cameras. The company has a desire to make a procedure that controls multiple cameras at the same time to take 360-degree videos and images.
For next-generation iPhones, Apple is consistently research periscope cameras. The company has revealed a photo of its new device named PatentlyApple. The new device features multiple cameras to capture a unified image- a panoramic video or a shot.
The idea of using different image sources and making one continuous image (in this case iPhone Pros). It involves adjusting all cameras in sync and then integrating footage into one iPhone.
The patent defines as:
“A photographer, videographer, or any other person may wish to take images using several image-capture devices and combine the images captured by each of the individual devices into one continuous image”.

The use of multiple devices means that the different persons using their cameras on the same subject simultaneously. The company is installing many iPhone choices in such a way that reduces convergence and increases 360-degree coverage, mentioned in the patent.
The company explains the physical bracket as an “image capture unit structure” and the purpose of this is to support a fixed position of the camera relative to other cameras – “the idea is that these iPhones or other devices will be ‘placed radially around the central axis of the image capture unit”, as per Gizchina.
The structure would empower each camera to make an angle of 30 degrees with radiation, the central axis producing. All the cameras lap each other on the central axis creates a 360-degree visual field. All the devices (fond of this structure) are the same model as the iPhone. Each model fabricated the same quality and makes the stitching of images simple.
But, the company highlights the system will be unable to assume that each person has the same device. However, image sensors’ size and configuration will determine the general quality of the final image.
For many photos especially those shots outside, the change in the light means to generate a unified image or take every part simultaneously.
Furthermore, Apple pronounced that different iPhones be interconnected through local wi-Fi. And it doesn’t matter how many phones are used in the link. The company has also submitted a roadmap to use the iPad to direct all devices.
