On Tuesday, during Nvidia’s “Game On” press event, the company revealed its Ampere architecture is about to land on a laptop around you. According to the company, GeForce RTX 30 Series GPUs will support more than 70 laptop models in 2021 for $1,000.
The company claims that new GeForce RTX 30 series GPUs are about 100% more energy-efficient and powerful that they will allow ray tracing on more demanding games like Cyberpunk 2077. The laptops are efficient for content creators who will use any of the countless hardware-accelerated apps in their work.
According to Kaustubh Sanghani, vice president and general manager of GeForce OEM at NVIDIA, “After taking the desktop market by storm, our NVIDIA Ampere architecture is now powering the world’s fastest laptops.” “Nowhere does power efficiency matter more than in gaming laptops, a market that’s grown 7x in the past seven years. These new thin and light systems are based on our Max-Q technologies, where every aspect — CPU, GPU, software, PCB design, power delivery, thermals — is optimized for power and performance,” he added.
Also, Nvidia claims that its GeForce RTX 3060 has the potential to provide 90fps at 1080p on the latest game titles that are set to “ultra.” The price of RTX 3060 models will begin with $999 and are supposed to perform more efficiently than GeForce RTX 2080 Super laptops, coming for $2,500.
Average ranged GeForce RTX 3070 at ultra-settings can provide 1440p to 90fps. According to Nvidia, these units are 50% faster than the one supporting RTX 2070. The starting price of these laptops will be $1,299.
GeForce RTX 3080, the new flagship GPU of Nvidia, features about 16GB G6 RAM. The company claims for gamers and creators; these giants will be among the world’s fastest laptops. The exclusive models should supposedly be easy while pushing over 100fps on ultra settings at 1440p. It would be fine if they would be tagged for $1,999.
On January 26, the first Nvidia-powered laptops will be launched, provided with RTX 3080 and RTX 3070 GPUs. However, GeForce RTX 3060 Series GPUs will be released later in the present year. ASUS, Acer, HP, Alienware, Gigabyte, Razer, MSI, and Lenovo are all partner OEMs.
