Dealing with VPN going through their network and allowing them to handle all your network activity for you so any of or all of those networks they can log nothing or log it any amount of time.
They can cut off all of your connection, even the encrypted data. But it may be a rare case. The basic way a VPN network works is, for example, you want to share some stuff with your friend, but you do not want anyone in the middle to see that stuff you are sharing. In this case, the data going through is in encrypted form, but if the other end is evil then you are not safe. You can take a look at a few VPN reviews of your choice.
By using some technique ISP can check either you are connected or not, and can also be checked you are connected to which VPN, but they will fail to find the sites you are using to transmit data if your DNS is not leaked and is properly encrypted. But if they have interest they can find your activities by using file size. But they can also get some more stuff when you have visited a site and had gotten a cookie
- The traffic will be unencrypted from service to the endpoint but your traffic will be encrypted to the service when VPN service hides your IP address.
- The VPN service will put traffic back to you when you relate to a website. You will do irrecoverable breakage to your device if you click on a wrong thing. This happens regardless of what filtering is being used by the VPN service.
- There are some VPNs, by the way, that create man the middle, and some don’t. When you use a vpn you don’t really know who is the man in the middle in some cases which is good for now but might be compromised later in future.
- VPN is not 100% safe, but you can do certain things like there are things in your browser that you must disable to be safe. After doing that some of the web pages might not be displayed correctly but still you must disable them so that you can be as safe as possible.
Although the internet isn’t safe, VPN can somehow make it safe for you but it doesn’t guarantee to be safe completely but sounds good.
