1. How To Take a Screenshot in a Windows 11 with Print Screen (PrtSc)

In the Start Menu, search for Performance of Windows, and then click on the Adjust the appearance and performance of Windows search result.

4. How To Take a Screenshot in Windows 11 using Snip and Sketch App
If you’re also looking to elucidate your screenshots, the built-in Snip and Sketch app is a great way to take a screenshot on Windows 11.
This screen-capture tool resembles the old Snipping Tool app (will be discussed in the latter part of the article), but the Delay feature is absent.
A major difference is that the screenshots clicked with Snip and Sketch are copied to the clipboard and the digital image can be pasted to any desired editing apps on your operating system. It can also be saved, and the steps for it are given here.
To take a screenshot with the Snip and Sketch app, you need to press WINDOWS + SHIFT + S to open the screen-capture tool. It will appear at the top of the screen.

The screenshots taken through Snipping Tool are first displayed in the app itself, where you have a simple editing option and can then either copy the digital image or save it on the system.

To access the Snipping Tool app, search for it in the Start Menu and click on the relevant search result to launch the app.
In the Snipping Tool app that appears, click on the ‘Mode’ drop-down menu, and you see four options listed under it.
- Free-form Snip: This mode allows you to take screenshots of any shapes, i.e., free-form. On selecting the option, the cursor changes to a scissor. Now, just drag the scissor around the portion you need, and it will automatically be displayed in the app window.
- Rectangular Snip: In this mode, you can take rectangular shapes. To take a screenshot, hold and drag the cursor to form a rectangle, and once you have covered the desired portion, release the cursor. When you select this mode, the screen light gets dim, and only the selected portion is distinctly visible.
- Window Snip: Window Snip allows to take a particular window. For this, launch the window you want to capture, select the mode, and then click on the window. The taken screenshot will now be available in the app.
- Full-screen Snip: In this mode, you can take the full-screen. All you have to do is select the mode, and a screenshot of the present screen will be taken.

It’s built-in to Windows 11 and can be launched by pressing the WINDOWS + G keyboard shortcut. Moreover, you can also launch it from the Start Menu.
To take a screenshot in Windows 11, press WINDOWS + G to start the Game Bar app, and then select the ‘Capture’ option.
Next, click on the Camera icon in the Capture box that appears to take a screenshot.
You can also take a screenshot with Game Bar using the WINDOWS + ALT + PrtScn or WINDOWS + ALT + Fn + PrtScn.
After clicking a screenshot on Windows 11 a pop-up is visible on the screen informing you of the same.
