Apple’s next-gen iPhones likely to be named as iPhone 14 are reportedly going to roll out with major modifications such as redesign. Alternatively stated that iPhone 14 is not going to roll out with under the hood developments but also going to have a completely new design. These details would make many iPhone users delighted as the recent iPhone 13 lineup has the same design as an S upgrade.
According to a statement of journalist Mark Gurman given in the Bloomberg “Power On” newsletter, the California-based Cupertino giant is going to roll out new “entry-level and Pro models” in 2022 with a “completely new design.”
Gurman further highlighted that the company’s engineers are taking their time with features that are scheduled for upcoming models. He clarifies the modest update of the iPhone 13 lineup as a sign that Apple’s engineers were functioning behind the scenes on more essential and bigger things that are going to take more time.
Gurman did not provide any detailed information about the design modifications. However, did point out that the mini model is likely not to come with the iPhone 14 series and the company is considering a Max-sized version.
Moreover, the company will still roll out four models as was the case in previous years: a regular-sized model, two “Pro” models, and a brand new “iPhone 14 Max.” In other words, the iPhone 13 mini is possibly going to be the last “mini” model in the iPhone series. As per several research agencies, sales of the mini model have been low.
We have heard this type of news many times earlier that the company is going to release a redesigned iPhone this coming year. Trustworthy Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo also stated that the company will replace the notch, that was first come with the iPhone X in 2017, with a “punch-hole” design.
As per Kuo, the iPhone 14 Pro is going to be the first iPhone that would come with a hole-punch camera on the front rather than the notch. A lot of Android smartphones already have this punch-hold design, that’s why the concept is not new.
Furthermore, the YouTuber Jon Prosser reported newly that the iPhone 14 will come with a “completely new design.” He, indeed, exhibit a render based on real-world images of the latest iPhone. The modern model would have the appearance of a supersized version of the iPhone 4 with the flush back cameras, Titanium-made sidebands, thicker chassis.
Furthermore, it had not yet been determined if the iPhone 14 would come with the under-display Touch ID however, it’s unclear if the technology will be ready by next year.
Kuo further added that Apple is possibly going to introduce this feature in the 2023 iPhone, on the other hand, a foldable iPhone would be all set to launch by 2024. However, everything is still in the rumor phase, that’s why it would be best to take everything with a pinch of salt for the time being.
The California-based Cupertino giant newly launched four models in the iPhone 13 series. The newly launched models provide minor enhancements in display technology, cameras, and battery life.
