Finally, Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 graphics card is launched at CES 2019 in Vegas, aimed to provide Turing architecture GPUs to the gamers. Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 graphics card is priced $349 and will be available on Acer, Alienware, Lenovo, HP and Dell’s devices from January 15, 2019.
GeForce RTX 2060 is 60% faster than GTX 1060 on current games. Not only that, it also surpasses another Nvidia card GTX 1070. Nvidia claims that this GeForce RTX 2060 can run Battlefield V with ray tracing at 60FPS.
In a press release Nvidia said that
The GeForce RTX 2060 features a major upgrade of the core streaming multiprocessor to more efficiently handle the compute-heavy workloads of modern games. It supports concurrent execution of floating point and integer operations, adaptive shading technology and a new unified memory architecture with twice the cache of its predecessor. Modern games can utilize these features to achieve up to 2x the performance of the GTX 1060 GPU.
Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 features GDDR6 of RAM memory and 240 Tensor cores claim to deliver 52 teraflops of deep learning horsepower by Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS).
This is a deep neural network designed to extract multidimensional features, a rendered scene and club it with multiple frames to provide a superior image quality.
The company said in a statement,
The quality matches to the traditional rendering but with much higher performance than that. DICE and Electronic Arts are expected to launch an update to Battlefield V to ad the support of DLSS soon.
