PlayStation Now subscription prices are cut to half

In Short: Sony has revealed that now even more blockbuster titles are being added to the subscription services. God of War, Grand Theft Auto V, Infamous Second Son and Uncharted 4 are the first wave of contents that will be available for a minimum of three months.

To bring closer in line with other entertainment services on the market sony has announced the cost of PlayStation Now subscription gaming services in half on Tuesday.

The prices of services in the US will Now set you back $9.99, $24.99, or $59.99 per month, quarter and year respectively.

Prices of cloud services were $19.99 per month, $44.99 quarterly,  $99.99 yearly before today. The following are the prices of cloud services in other parts of the world.

  • CAN: $12.99 – monthly / $34.99 – quarterly / $79.99 – yearly (from $19.99/ $44.99/ $99.99)
  • EU: €9.99 – monthly / €24.99 – quarterly/ €59.99 – yearly (from €14.99/ (N/A)/ €99.99)
  • UK: £8.99 – monthly / £22.99 – quarterly/ £49.99 – yearly (from £12.99 / (N/A) / £84.99)
  • JP: ¥1,180 – monthly / ¥2,980 – quarterly / ¥6,980 yearly (from ¥2,500 / ¥5,900 / (NA)

People will see the reduction in their next billing cycle who is already under a 12-month subscription. (no prorated rates)

For a limited time, Sony will also add new marquee titles each month.

In the field of Google Stadia, the changes that Sony has made to PlayStation Now come on the heels of a new competitor. In the US, the UK and Korea, Microsoft is also setting up a public beta test of its Project xCloud game streaming services later this month.
