On Thursday prime minister Imran Khan launched Pakistan e visa scheme for tourists in Islamabad.
PM Imran Khan said that
Pakistan has seen tough times in its efforts to combat terrorism but the situation today is different,” said the prime minister, gave credit to security forces and intelligence agencies.
Pakistan is a secure country today. The next season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) will be held in its entirety in Pakistan.
PM Imran Khan praised the launch of Pakistan e visa as a big step.
Moreover, he added that
To take a 1000 mile journey you have to take the first step.
Today I especially congratulate the interior ministry and foreign office. People don’t realise that this is a very big change today.
In the 1960s, there was a great self-belief and confidence that Pakistan was moving forward at a faster pace than other countries and world recognised this fact too.
Imran Khan, before his speech distributed shields among the team members who launched this Pakistan e visa.
Moreover, he said that
This is the first step to open up the country, the Naya (new) Pakistan. Pakistan always had a mindset: make it as difficult as you can to grant anyone visas.
According to the official Pakistan Tehrek e Insaf Twitter account, this new Pakistan e visa scheme will facilitate visitors from 175 countries.
