California-based Cupertino giant is expected to launch its next-gen iPhone 14 series this year. Since the iPhone 13 lineup rolled out back in September 2021, rumors about the iPhone 14 series have been emerging on the web. Now, as per the most recent reports, the upcoming iPhone 14 series likely to come in just two sizes, which is in line with anticipations that the iPhone maker is going to drop the mini variant.
The recent leaks further shared a few pictures of the upcoming iPhones. These pictures disclose that the company has utilized metal molds to build the phone’s cases and accessories. The photos of the molds are shared by Weibo and reveal that the series is going to arrive with only two sizes of iPhones.
What does this indicate?
The present Apple iPhone 13 lineup has three sizes models, including the iPhone 13 mini, which is a 5.4-inch screen, the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro, which is a 6.1-inch screen, and the iPhone 13 Pro Max, which has a 6.7-inch screen.
Thus, the metal molds indicate we will get only two types of iPhones in the Apple iPhone 14 lineup, including 6.1-inch ones and 6.7-inch ones. Apart from that, this comes together with the former leaks of a entire series reshuffle, where we are not going to get an iPhone 14 mini.
However, as a substitute an iPhone 14 Max which is a non-Pro model is going to be added to the lineup. This would indicate that iPhone fans are going to be able to see four iPhone 14 variants. Those four models are referred to as the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro that have 6.1-inch screens, on the other hand, the iPhone 14 Max and iPhone 14 Pro Max that are going to come with 6.7-inch screens.
Apart from that, the Cupertino giant is likely to roll out the Pro models of the iPhone 14 with the present A15 chipset rather than the next get A16 chips. According to reports, these will only come with the Pro models. when it comes to the modifications that the company has reportedly made to Pro Models, we are expected to see a punch-hole cutouts on the Pro variants only. On the other hand, the non-Pro models will still featurs the present notch design for this year as well.
