Yesterday, the awaited Ryzen 5000 series released, and in what comes as no surprise, finding it right now is an impossible task, Unless you pay money on eBay.
It’s a great time for gamers, with PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Radeon cards, new RTX, and Ryzen 5000 series coming. Unfortunately, they all have a common point: pre-ordering or purchasing any hardware has been impeded by vendors buy great bulk and selling with high prices, often with a combination of eBay and bots.
The firm sent operating instructions to retailers on how they prevent vendors during Ryzen/Radeon releases, adding the use of purchase limits and Captcha, as per AMD’s papers leaked last month.
Like other tech products, Ryzen 5000 series confronting the same issues now. The websites of AMD such as Amazon, Best Buy, Newegg, B&H Photo Video, and others sold within minutes. All are showing as out of stock now.
If you wish a Ryzen 5000 CPU immediately, you’ve to pay way above the MSRP on eBay, another sad thing. If you check the highest prices of the auction site, the Ryzen 9 5950 with $799 price has one listing for $1,825, the $299 Ryzen 5 5600X is $599, the $549 Ryzen 9 5900X is also for $1,000, and the Ryzen 7 5800X ($449) is going for $1,000.
We hope things would improve, and we won’t need to wait to get a new Ryzen 5000 processor until a year later.
