The Korean tech giant recently brings out the super idea for coming phone screens. Samsung baited the designs of rollable, foldable and other flexible displays. Samsung Display showcase exhibits a sheer of new concept which are in progress.
Some of them get fruitful results like Galaxy Fold while others are still under the way. The incredible thing they included was arguably Samsung’s in-development S-Foldable OLED panel which can fold twice. Simply puts, it has two different bending points that are set between three screen divisions.
The S-Fold display can work like a normal phone when fully folded up. But when it extended to its full 7.2-inch length, its screen looks like a tablet.
However, it’s unsafe to say anything before time about how much this device will get popular. But it is a brilliant move. Samsung Galaxy Fold wasn’t a best seller (and it likely wouldn’t have been even if it was inexpensive). So a phone that doubles down on the design adequately might not do far better.
Moreover, a Slidable OLED display and a 17-inch foldable, tablet-sized panel were also unveiled in the Samsung Display showcase. The second appears to have the same tech as the Galaxy Fold.
While the Slidable OLED display got some peculiar cover. The screen slides out to the right and making the display widen a few inches. We are unaware of how this one will work but it looks unique. It seems more convenient as compared to folding devices.
Currently, there’s not much information available about OLED technologies. While the predecessor excludes folds completely and taking some sort of sliding bar for extending the single screen space.
