A popular video application people use to do some silly antics, dancing and lips syncing on Bollywood and Hollywood dialogues in your social media feeds has taken the TikTok to a new milestone.
Sensor Tower revealed in its latest Store Intelligence estimates report, the application from ByteDance in Beijing, China has hit another milestone where it has crossed 1 billion downloads on Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
These one billion downloads include the lite and regional versions of the app but don’t include Android downloads from China. The new users have reached to 71.3 million globally excluding the China downloads.
This TikTok video application was the fourth most downloaded non-game app last year. It was at number three in terms of new installations across both Apple App Store and Google Play Stores. It was the number one non-game application in the US last month.
This application is doing well in India as the 2.5% of TikTok downloads came from India which is estimated 250 million userbase. Moreover, 43% of new downloads came from India which was only 9% in last year’s January.
The userbase increased in the United States as well where TikTok gained 9% downloads in January this year, which was only 5.6% last year.
