If you’re willing to void the warranty and to modify the console’s stock software, then your Sony PlayStation Classic can be made more capable. BleemSync is currently in the beta stage if you can wait for the version 1.1.
Sony PlayStation Classic is far more attractive proposition after last month’s drastic price cut, but in case you need an additional reason to buy and you are not afraid of a little modification in stock software, the release of BleemSync 1.0 could be just what the doctor ordered.
BleemSync in actually a modding tool for Sony PlayStation Classic. With this, you can actually add your own games to the console and more importantly, you can emulate other consoles too.
BleemSync 1.0 is still a public beta so don’t get surprised if you face some problems. While announcing the release on Reddit, a team member said that they are still having issues with the power limiter.
Keep in mind that you’ll do any mods at your own risk and there is no doubt that you’ll void your console’s warranty after playing with its firmware and it could get bricked easily if something goes wrong. If you understand the risks associated with it and want to proceed further, head over to Mod My Classic to get the necessary files. The team also have posted the video tutorials covering installation and how to use the software.
