This WhatsApp latest feature will let its users see an undo option when they post a status on the platform. Presently, the feature was observed on the iOS beta app. However, it is still not accessible to non-beta users.
According to a report issued by Wabetainfo, the messaging platform has launched the possibility to undo status updates on the app’s beta version. This latest feature will make users able to rapidly remove a status update you have posted unintentionally.
For the time being, if users post a status accidentally, they have the boring process of clicking on the three dots to remove a status update. Nevertheless, this possibility to undo status updates will make you able to rapidly remove whatever you have published on WhatsApp. Moreover, WhatsApp Status users update on the platform is the same as Instagram Stories and remains live on WhatsApp for 24 hours. Your contacts can view the status; however, those not added to your contact list will not see your status.
The company has further solved problems associated with the latest status updates apart from the possibility to undo status updates. Additionally, this latest WhatsApp feature has been made accessible to the iOS beta users; consequently, for the time being, only iOS users are able to try it. However, users are going to need to update to WhatsApp beta for iOS 2.21.240.17 to use this recent WhatsApp feature.
The report further added,
“After publishing the status update, the option “Undo” will be momentarily visible: if you select it, the status update will be automatically deleted for everyone. This shortcut is useful when you post something by mistake and you want to delete it quickly. This feature is available for some iOS beta testers today. If it’s not available for your WhatsApp account, it means it has not been rolled out for you, yet and the next beta updates may help your account to receive the feature.”
The company is further functioning on the possibility to allow its users to forward stickers rapidly. As per the reports, the company has added a recent shortcut alongside the stickers, which will allow users to forward stickers without putting in a lot of effort.
