The Meta’s own instant messaging platform, WhatsApp, has just released its most recent update for Android and iOS. This WhatsApp latest update comes with support for 32 members in one group voice call.
The company had previously disclosed that it intended to release the feature when it verified the rollout of the WhatsApp Communities feature. Currently, WhatsApp users can add only eight members to a group voice call. It is important to mention here that for the time being, the company has increased the limit only for voice calls and not video calls in a group.
Apart from that, the company is additionally expected to introduce more features, including the ability to share 2GB files, reactions to individual messages, and many more. Moreover, WhatsApp’s iOS version 22.8.80 contains this feature in the changelog.
According to the update description, the group calls presently have support for up to 32 members. It further provides an upgraded interface with speaker highlights, waveforms, and a social audio layout.
The company has further updated the designs for information screens for contacts and groups and voice message bubbles. The instant messaging platform further rolls out enhancements for users when they get access to their preferred media in the gallery. WhatsApp’s Android version 2.22.9.73 offers the feature.
According to a report issued by WABetainfo, WhatsApp is testing the latest feature, which allows users to edit recipients and choose the audience ahead of sending a media with the latest caption view. Furthermore, this recent feature is additionally being added to the WhatsApp Status option.
WhatsApp beta testers who are on v2.22.10.6 can use this feature. However, all beta testers are not going to get the option.
